Swisscom Dispatching Centre
Zurich and St. Gallen Switzerland
I started as a dispatcher for field force engineers and assigned them the tasks optimally by means of an EDP system. My job was to make appointments with customers and acknowledge the orders in the systems. I also provided support for the technicians‘ technical problems and monitored their orders in terms of quality and deadlines.
With the restructuring of the Dispatching Centre and my move to St. Gallen, I took over as substitute team leader.
As workload manager, I was responsible for optimising the geographical allocation of the service technicians together with the workload managers of the neighbouring areas of operation in order to achieve a Switzerland-wide optimisation.
I planned the daily shifts of the dispatching staff and, as a key player, was the first point of contact for dispatchers and service technicians in case of problems in the daily business. I analysed difficult cases in depth and found solutions together with the customers and the service technicians.
